Synopsis
JUTRA is an animated film about the life and work of the legendary scriptwriter, director and actor named Claude Jutra . Using archival materials, rare photographs and scenes from his films, this animation will tell his amazing life story that profoundly impacted Québec cinema. More than a biography, Claude Jutra will narrate this documentary through a sound montage from television and radio interviews to paint a moving portrait of the man, his art and his destiny.
Director’s Statement
Claude Jutra is without a doubt the most important film director that came out of Québec. His body of work is an invaluable work for film fans all around the world. But behind this creative genius lies a troubled personal life haunted by demons. This film seeks to understand the causes that led the famous filmmaker to commit suicide.

MJSTP is happy to announce that Télé-Québec has given a broadcast license for the animated film JUTRA. This film on the legendary Québec filmmaker Claude Jutra will be release in 2014
